Taking care of your car wrap FAQS

Can you wax a car wrap? Adding a protective wax finish to paint may protect it from exposure, but it doesn't help vinyl — it may even damage it. Do not use any abrasive polishes or cutting compounds. Do not use any polishing or wax products on matte or textured films. How long does a vinyl wrap last on a car? A well cared for vinyl wrap can last for up to 7 years. (We've seen some last longer, but these were mostly show cars that didn't see much time outside.) We usually give a lifespan of 5 years for our digitally printed wraps. Our recommendation is to change it every 3 years, keeping your vinyl looking really good and refreshing your marketing message on the vehicle. Can you remove a car wrap? If the vehicle has been wrapped with a high-quality car wrap vinyl, then the removal process is very easy. All is needed is a heat source, preferably a heat gun, some experience and a lot of patience. High-quality films made by Avery and 3M are designed to leave no adhesive residue when removed. It’s always better to get it removed by a professional that knows the material on your vehicle. We, at Jovi Printing, could help you to remove the prior wrap and design a fresh one for you.
